I provide conference transcription, covering a half day, full day and week long conferences. My transcripts are accurate and turned around to meet my client demands for post-conference paperwork production. I am happy to work alongside PowerPoint print outs to match up with the presentations and my service includes a full proof read through with the original audio and full Internet research where required.

I ask my clients to advise how they want their conference transcription carried out, as I have three styles of transcript available: verbatim (total transcription of every utterance including housekeeping notes and notations of applause and laughter), intelligent verbatim (no housekeeping notes or 'er', 'um' or repetitive words e.g. 'kind of', 'sort of' or background noise notations) or intelligent (a crisp summary of what was said, usually only used by those reporting back on the conference and not as part of the post-conference pack)

As part of my conference transcription service I convert standard audio tape recordings to digital files for transcription and provide this service at no additional charge, including the provision of these digital recordings to my clients should they require them. I transcribe from mini disc, mp3, wma, wmv, video, digital video, digital audio recordings, CDs and standard tapes.

CONFERENCE PAPERS: Many of my clients provide conference papers to their clients after the event and will provide me with PowerPoint presentations that the speakers used during their presentation. I can provide conference papers in your preferred house style or use the standard format most clients choose (an example can be sent to you). If your clients were not able to attend a presentation, providing conference papers that reflect the event accurately is crucial - this is where I can help.

I provide conference transcription services to universities, research bodies, medical professions, specialist industries (i.e. oil, energy, transport) and charge a per audio minute. I can either provide transcripts for the whole event or transcribe keynote speakers (keynote address) recordings. Roadshow transcription can be either the full event or simply the Q & A session that followed the roadshow itself.

FOCUS GROUPS: I advise clients to contact me before conducting focus groups or roundtable discussions so that they can gain advice on how to set these up and record them to obtain the best audio transcripts. Please click here to view my recommendations or contact me.

MEETINGS TRANSCRIPTION: Similar to roundtable discussion or focus group work, I work with meetings transcriptions both recorded on audio or video, and these can include teleconference meetings.

BREAKOUT SESSIONS: Not all clients require their full conference or workshop sessions transcribed but just want breakout sessions transcribed. Breakout sessions are similar to focus groups and need specialised handling when it comes to recording them, and I would suggestion you read the recommendations under the heading of focus group transcription (click here) or contact me for further assistance. How you plan these breakout sessions is paramount if you are going to provide audio that will result in accurate records of the event.
