I know that transcribing PACE interview tapes requires accuracy as police station interviews are vital evidence and I have been providing transcription services to solicitors online for over five years. I have covered standard, taped police station interviews, video interviews for child protection cases, fraud, murder, corporate manslaughter and Health & Safety investigations (i.e. taped in the same as a police station interview using time stamped recordings) to name just a few case types. My caution interviews work has also included under caution interviews carried out by Street Care Officers for local council departments, and NHS fraud investigators who use under caution interviews as part of their standard practice. 

I provide a complete verbatim transcript (including every 'um', 'er', cough and splutter) and provide solicitors with a 30 day or 45 day payment agreement. These are the ONLY clients I allow these payment terms, as my usual payment terms are 14 working days from invoice date.

I also cover disciplinary hearing transcription, adjudication panel hearings (e.g. The Adjudication Panel of England), tribunal transcription, police video transcription (see below), HSE interview transcription and NHS fraud investigation work. 

My fees are based on a per audio minute rate of £1.90. For example a 30 minute audio recording would cost £57.00* to transcribe . All audio tapes are converted to digital audio files for transcription and deleted from my system within three weeks of the finished transcript being returned to you. This enables my clients to have a digital copy of the audio sent to them across a secure file sharing system should they wish to listen to the recording against the transcript. I are happy to provide my own confidentiality agreement or sign one on behalf of my clients should this be deemed necessary.

LEGAL VIDEO TRANSCRIPTION: I have also transcribed police interviews conducted on video, especially in the case of child protection or where video surveillance has captured a crime or incident that required transcription. My police video transcription services include stripping out the audio from the video and supplying this to the client and if required a Windows Media Video file of the videoed interview on CD (for a small additional fee).

I take video recordings of 10 minutes or longer, but should you have a very small clip that needs transcribing please be advised I have a minimum charge of £20.00 for clips under 10 minutes in length and will not charge a per audio minute rate for video that is less than 10 minutes in length.
